The Avenue (4 Orchid Avenue, Surfers Paradise) – in existence since 1984, this is a popular sports bar and night spot, where local rock bands often do live appearances. Games such as rugby, football and American football (NFL)(including the Super Bowl) can be seen on this venue’s 16 large plasma screens. Other events, such as bikini contests, are often held here, too.
