Sydney Trains
Sydney Trains – formerly known as “CityRail”, this is an extensive rail network that operates in and around the city center, and beyond, to the greater metropolitan area. Sydney Trains operates metropolitan train services with a network that includes suburban Sydney and extends to the Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands and South Coast regions. The network is made up of several easy-to-follow, color-coded lines.
Ticket prices are generally based on the distance travelled, and can be purchased from station ticket offices and ticket vending machines. The network’s map can be seen here:
