Australian Museum (6 College Street – opposite Hyde Park, Sydney) – this is the country’s first museum (established in 1827). Along with collections of natural science and cultural artifacts, this museum is also known for its indigenous studies research, as well as exhibits of the continent’s unique animals (including dinosaurs – with a section of its own). Admission: A$15 (adult), A$8 (children), A$38 (family: 2 adults & 2 children).
